Where Camaraderie meets Competition

A course is laid out on open asphalt with cones & timing lights — simple in design, but exacting in practice. Each run is a test of control, precision & instinct, measured in seconds yet remembered far longer.

For newcomers, it’s the perfect entry point: a safe environment to explore limits & build confidence behind the wheel. For experienced drivers, it’s a chance to refine technique, push boundaries & connect with others who share the same pursuit.

Every event is spirited but welcoming — drivers line up together, trade advice & cheer each other on. At PCA-LA, autocross is more than competition. It’s community in its purest form: motion, precision & camaraderie, all written in asphalt.

Upcoming Event

Each month, PCA-LA hosts an autocross event as part of our championship series. Courses are designed for all levels — from first-timers learning car control to seasoned drivers chasing tenths. Every event brings seat time, instruction & the chance to test yourself against the clock in a safe, controlled environment.

Every PCA-LA autocross course is designed from scratch, using cones to outline a fast, technical layout that rewards precision & car control. No curbs, no walls — just open asphalt built for learning, improving, & pushing limits safely.

Drivers typically receive twelve laps per event: two practice sessions (four laps each), followed by four timed laps that count toward season points. Course times average 40–60 seconds, with volunteers & instructors eligible for two bonus laps.

Each morning starts with a course walk, giving everyone time to plan lines, study braking zones & get familiar with the flow before engines fire up. We rotate between Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Storm Stadium in Lake Elsinore, & the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro — all offering large, consistent surfaces ideal for autocross.

Timing is electronic & live, classes are organized for fair runs, & instructors are on hand to help drivers of every experience level.
